Since 2003, my career choices were always driven by 2 things : my love for travels and new cultures, and my deep respect and fascination for what French people called the "terroir". I started working in Luxury via the Champagne category, which, to me, represented the best of both worlds. Something anchored in a terroir, with a unique know-how and extraordinarily humble people crafting the most sought-after products - while, at the same time, being one of the most prestigious wines and a symbol of French art-de-vivre exported around the world.
In 2008, leaving Paris to live in New York was definitely one of the founding moment in my career and in my personal life for so many reasons. I was given an amazing opportunity to go and discover a new country, a new culture – both professionally and personally – and I met the greatest mentors there. I also understood there the importance of building culturally-relevant brands.
In 2019, I had the opportunity to relocate to London with my family for another career and life chapter. For two years, I have built a new Luxury centre of gravity for an international company, including : defining a global strategy, getting regional buy-in, rolling the strategy out, setting out new standards of execution, defining new ways of working, shifting the teams' global mindset and developing a common luxury culture along with building global capability.
I am now interested in accompanying established and upcoming luxury brands, from any premium luxury sector, as they want to strengthen their position or invest in new territories, in a post-pandemic world. I am also interested to accompany FMCG brands as they embark on a premiumisation journey. I am particularly keen to support and help young luxury businesses to grow and thrive, as well as small brands & businesses - particularly female-founded businesses.
This crisis may be transforming the luxury industry for good, but it could also be a transformation for the good.
